Autograph letter signed : [London], to Mrs. Hewitt, undated.

Asking her to send the drawings as he will not be able to visit her until the next week; discussing color in art; saying "It is funny of you--by the way--thinking that you like colour better than I do--when I've been fighting for it all my life;" saying he won't answer her questions about Mr. Young's book but that if she wanted to follow Mr. Young's principles rather than his she should try them; adding, "if you find they will do--go on with them--if not--come back to mine."
